Prince George was christened at a private ceremony in St James's Palace today.Over 20 guests were in attendance, including his seven godparents (Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Earl Grosvenor, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Julia Samuel, William van Cutsem and Zara Tindall), uncles Prince Harry and James Middleton and aunt Pippa Middleton, as well as the Queen and Prince Philip and both sets of George's grandparents.
The Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the ceremony, which lasted 45 minutes, while Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry read out passages from the Bible during the service.
Prince George wore a replica of the satin and lace christening gown made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria. The replica was designed by the Queen's couturier, Angela Kelly.
After the service, celebrity photographer Jason Bell will take a photo of the monarch and her direct heirs to the throne, with Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George all pictured alongside her Majesty.
